olid Mahogany Writing Box Circa 1855

Superb and old solid mahogany writing desk 1855 look the plate. A buffer varnish was applied on the outside and a restoration was done by a cabinetmaker. The box is in solid mahogany. Three secret drawers are hidden inside with ebony buttons and are accessible with a spring lock. On the side of the cabinet a large secret drawer accessible by removing the brass pin. Beautiful exterior aspect despite its age. A red leather with gilt edging gives a very nice finish. With key. This writing desk can also be converted into a desk, see pictures.
